High Resolution Infrared Thermal Imaging

High-resolution infrared thermography. . .

What is a high-resolution thermal infrared camera? High resolution – the highest number of pixels (680×480) for more information and clearer images than a lower resolution (80 x 80). Infrared (IR), another part of the electromagnetic spectrum of light than our eyes can see. Infrared is just visible light to see our eyes. UV light, on the other hand, than the upper limit of our perception. All surfaces radiate and reflect infrared waves through the air. These waves through the lens of the camera, which they called a sensory array focused microbolometer. The wave resistance is measured by the sensory array, and converted to a signal processor, a visible light. Grayscale signals from all pixels a TV signal into a composite image is converted. Thermography – Infrared camera shows us the surface radiation and temperature patterns. It does not see the walls which would have an x-ray.

We tend to see the feelings or images of evaporative cooling as the plaster is wet and leading heat transfer is missing, as in isolation. With our knowledge of building characteristics, building materials and thermal transfer, we interpret this temperature to produce the pattern, a building diagnostic tool inspection. The camera provides a quicker and more accurate assessment of the damage.

Things that prevent or conceal this process, products with low emissions, products such as bright light, cove moldings, glass, metal and brick, reflects like a mirror. If conditions are right, lies in the venture as Shooting Fish in a barrel. The best time to use the camera to be taken when the temperature is changing rapidly, and things in a steady state, such as missing insulation in the middle of the afternoon, or the ingress of water came out of the rain the night before or at the external ambient temperature is extreme and our HVAC systems in operation is exactly the opposite, it is easier to see the heat loss / gain around windows and doors. Only in the morning the sun rises and warms the surface of the walls / windows or late afternoon when the sun goes down and cool surfaces begin to have the best of times, the subtle, or a temporary condition that exists.

The greater the thermal mass, around the slower the temperature change in comparison with other material about him. Massive rain can be seen very easily in a brick wall.

Is night vision devices and camcorders with Night Shot is not the same thing. Night Vision reinforces only a small amount of light. Infrared wavelengths, we will not have to happen to those affected by the glass and did not convert these products using infrared processors for visible light images.

What is it good if you ask? It is excellent for identifying leaks in the plumbing or insulation problems within and outside the home. We can also see some solid cement precipitation. Moisture intrusion detection, however, is our focus. For flat roofs can be insulated moisture compression for repairs. In an EIFS home, to record the building envelope penetrations. We also found a leak under slab plumbing leak and lots of windows and roofs. We also have a number that is in the upstairs shower pan leaks from the bottom up! Often we find more than we had expected. One particular house we were asked to find the source of the leak. We have seven! Five of them have been produced in any connection with the issue that the call is this the future of building inspections.
